My mom had breast cancer ...This nearly made me cry. My mom had breast cancer nearly 15 years ago and had a mastectomy. I remember the first time she went swimming afterwards- years and years afterwards, she felt so self-conscious. All her girls went with her and basically formed an honour guard around her. She's fine swimming now.
